Prehistoric paintings adorn the wall of a rock shelter at Phu Pha Dang (locally reffered as a cave) These images are arranged along a north-south direction and face east at azimuth 90 degree. During the early morning of the equinox which occurs twice a year sunlight shines directly upon these images. Notably, one of the paintings features a symmetrical design; could this represent a code or symbol signifying the equality of day and night?
